Not too long ago, the wonderful band Bon Iver made it to the Bucks training facility for some pickup games of ball while they were in Milwaukee for their concert tour. The band was founded in 2007 by American indie folk singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, and was formed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Their first album, For Emma, Forever Ago was recorded while Vernon spent three months in a remote cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin. Their name Bon Iver is derived from the French phrase bon hiver, meaning “good winter” or “have a good winter.” Here is one of my favorite songs off their new album, Bon Iver, Bon Iver titled Towers. I’m also adding this custom jersey to my Christmas list.
